Art x Onongo

The Art x Onongo program was established in June 2022 with the mission of creating a space where children can access art and use it as a means to express themselves and process their feelings. By raising funds and selling art, we were able to fully fund a two-part event for up to 30 children between the ages of 5 and 16 in Katutura, Windhoek, Namibia. The event consisted of a painting workshop followed by an exhibit where friends and families gathered to celebrate the young artists' work, all at no cost to the parents.

Our goal is to ensure that all children have access to the important tool of self-expression that is art.

Since the establishment of our art program, we have been hosting monthly workshops and expanding visual arts in the community through our local program, the Onongo Foundation. The Onongo Foundation is a Namibian-based organization that provides affordable and personalized tutoring for students of all grades and various university modules, tailored to each child's academic needs.
